IS THE NEW JOB SEARCH SITE FOR
ArtCareerCafe.com and Rising Arts Leaders of San Diego have fully embraced the “Less is More” philosophy and joined forces to bring you both efficiency and simplicity in one easy employee recruiting operation. Yep, that’s right, your dreaded “advertise the job announcement” to-do list just got shorter and gained some impact.
Here’s the scoop…
Late one afternoon a few RALSD folks met up at Panama 66 for happy hour with the two and only people working with the ArtCareerCafe. As the sounds of jazz wafted through the air we started to brainstorm how we could make your life easier. How could the ArtCareerCafe’s arts job search site partner with RALSD’s career resources efforts to share announcements for San Diego arts jobs with their members so that everyone wins?
And then, BAM all of the sudden it hit us. With all of the robust capabilities already built into the ArtCareerCafe.com, there was no point in duplicating efforts at RALSD. (Besides, they are all volunteers over there at RALSD and have better things to do than sit in front of a computer screen all day and post job listings. Although truth be told Victoria’s husband would tell you that according to their accountant she’s pretty much a volunteer for the Cafe website as well. But we won’t go into that now.)
So how does this work?
Well our web guys created a super cool techno link between the Cafe website and the RALSD website. Now when you want to announce your organization’s job openings to the members of the Rising Arts Leaders, you post it once with the ArtCareerCafe.com and voila! your job announcement is automatically posted to their members’ site as well.
Cool. Now I’m afraid to ask… what will it cost me?
Using the Promo Code RALSD will get you free postings for the remainder of the year. (A $60 value). After that it’s just $60 for six-weeks. If you need more time to post it after that, we’ll re-up it at no cost. Now we know that some organizations are really operating on fumes. So if that’s the case, call Victoria (619-540-2925) and we’ll come up with something that doesn’t empty your tank.
Why pay to post when I used the get the … er… latte for free?
Well, between the mega server needed for the website and the work we do to keep everything looking spiffy, things just cost money. We figure $60 is cheaper than most job search sites and we’re committed to not making job seekers pay to search for a job. Besides you also get to go back and edit your listing if there is something you want to change or mark it as filled if you find the perfect candidate before the 6-weeks is up. Oh we’ll also be adding more employer features in the future. This is just the start.
Who are you really? I’ve never heard of the ArtCareerCafe.com. Is this legit?
Yes, very much on the up and up. The site was launched in 2014 as a solution to the ugly, hard to search job search sites that make job seekers feel depressed when they’re already down. Victoria wanted to create a site that is friendly, easy to navigate, doesn’t cost a lot to post to it and is dedicated to the nonprofit arts and culture community specifically. If you haven’t heard of it it’s probably because she’s not a marketing maven. Trust us though…it’s the real thing and people do use it. Unlike Craigslist or other broadly targeted sites, we only post nonprofit arts jobs. So you’re pretty much guaranteed that only qualified applicants will be seeing your listing. Oh and because it’s Victoria’s own site and she lives right here, you’ll know that you’re supporting a local effort and there is a real person working on it all the time.
Anything else you want to tell me before I bookmark your site for future use?
Not really, just that this offer with RALSD is only for promoting San Diego County – based arts and culture jobs. If you have any questions or better ideas, feel free to email us or Victoria Plettner-Saunders, Creative Director for the ArtCareerCafe.
