Virgil Yalong was a fearless arts advocate and champion of the arts in San Diego. He was a longtime RALSD steering committee member and a teaching artist at ARTS (A Reason to Survive).

Virgil passed away in November of 2016 and to honor his memory and continue the legacy of our friend, the Quick Grants program was renamed in perpetuity as the Virgil Yalong Quick Grants. Read More
